David, Group Vice President of Financial Services and Market Strategy at Environics Research, is a luminary whose remarkable career has shaped the strategies of Canada’s foremost financial institutions. Recently named a 2025 Fellow of the Canadian Research Insights Council (CRIC) for his exceptional contributions to the research industry (Congratulations, David!), he has also earned Best in Class and Best Multinational Excellence in Research Awards. As a Certified Analytics and Insights Professional, David transforms complex data into profound human insights. His leadership in Environics’ Advisor Perception Study redefines how financial brands connect with audiences, while his expertise in focus groups and social values segmentation reveals the motivations driving consumer behaviour.
Holding an MBA from York University’s Schulich School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Economics from the University of Toronto, David blends global perspective with meticulous insight. His work has not only influenced boardrooms but also enriched public understanding of financial decision-making across Canada.
David’s connection to CAFE is foundational. Since the inception of our Financial Fitness Index, he has been a pivotal collaborator, weaving his statistical genius into a framework that captures the essence of Canadian financial wellness. This pioneering index, born of his vision and CAFE’s mission, has empowered countless Canadians to navigate their financial journeys with confidence and dignity.
