CAFE Proudly Announce The Appointment of Krista Lee Hynes, CAFE Board of Directors

The Canadian Association for Financial Empowerment (CAFE-ACAF.org) is pleased to announce the appointment of Krista Lee Hynes, to its Board of Directors for the 2025–2029 term.

Krista is the founder of Ignite Financial Solutions Inc. a Certified Financial Planner, CAFE Certified, and holds deep roots in Newfoundland and Labrador, where she serves a broad range of community needs. She recently earned her certification through CAFE, reinforcing her longstanding commitment to ethical, client-first financial guidance. With a practice grounded in clarity, strategy, and respect, Krista has guided individuals and families through some of life’s most complex financial crossroads with integrity and measurable impact.

Her appointment reflects a broader evolution within CAFE: one focused on elevating leaders who not only serve at the community level, but who bring governance insight and sectoral courage to help build a more resilient industry. Krista represents exactly that; a practitioner with the lived credibility to understand financial distress and the leadership capacity to strengthen systems that promote ethical, outcomes-based service.

Krista joins the Board at a pivotal time. CAFE is scaling its national infrastructure, expanding its certified practitioner network, and building new pathways for grassroots operations to thrive without compromising standards. As a financial professional who bridges regional experience with national relevance, Krista will contribute to policy development, practitioner support models, and the continued evolution of certification frameworks that keep ethics at the centre of professional growth.

She has been a supporter of CAFE since its rebranded launch in 2024 and is currently representing the association as part of the 2025 Summit Committee. As Sponsorship Manager, Krista is conducting outreach to find ethically aligned organizations and partners that will stand and represent their role in Canada's financial empowerment sector the Summit. The Financial Literacy Leaders’ Summit, Calgary, Alberta, October 8 - 10, 2025.
